What do you mean you're restructuring?!?!

Hey there! It's February already and I have been completely negligent when it comes to updating my blog. That doesn't mean I haven't been thinking about updating it though. I have a lot of exciting ideas for this year and am hoping I can get everything organized and renovated in the next month or two. The major things being restructured are packages and pricing. I want to create some new and more comprehensive pricing that will allow my awesome clients to receive more of what they want, and less of what they don't! 

Please be patient with me! As you can see above we have welcomed our third baby boy!!! He is amazing and the most adorable baby (of course). With three boys I am always on my toes and always juggling our lives and schedules. 

If you are in dire need of photos please email me, text me, or phone! We might be able to arrange something while I am still working all this fun business stuff out. If not I am more than happy to point you in the direction of someone that can help you out for your specific needs!

Taking a break!!

Hello everyone! I will be taking a break from clients for a few months while I am nearing the end of my pregnancy. It's gotten far too embarrassing being the giant pregnant woman huffing and puffing with a camera in her hands :)

I will hopefully be restructuring the business during the cold winter months, as well as looking after a new baby, a preschooler!! and a big grade 1 boy!! (Yikes, how did that happen!?!) So please bear with me as I try to update as soon as I can as to when I will be taking clients again.

Please feel free to email me with any questions, although I may not reply as swiftly as normal. I am still around and will hopefully be putting up some newborn photos someday soon.

Fairies, princesses, brides... oh MY!

I love my boys, they are fantastic... however, having boys means a sore lacking in the princess-fairy-bride area of life (although I did offer my oldest the chance to tag along to this session if he wanted to dress up like the girls... I was turned down rather quickly).

A friend who lives close by has these two girls that I was just dying to take pictures of. They were just exactly what I was looking for. So of course like any sane photographer/artist I harassed her for the chance to borrow her girls... as well as dictate the sessions style. 

I had so much fun. She dropped off a series of costumes they had for me to choose from. I got to pick out jewellery, crowns, wings etc. I was in girly-stuff heaven. I also went super wild and heavy handed editing, and it was the best time ever. I loved every moment of it. 

Sometimes you just have to do a session that pushes your artistic vision.

Over share?? YES! But I had to, I love them all. If I could share all of them I would, I love them THAT much.

Now I just need to think of an awesome boy session. Girls really can't have ALL the fun.

Vintage wedding! So much fun!

I don't really DO weddings, but I was persuaded to do the wedding formals for this lovely couple (who has been on this blog before).

We were really apprehensive because the night before the session/wedding the weather channel called for thunder showers.. something very few would love on the day of their wedding (or photo session, in my case). We were thrilled then to have a hot sunny day! You can imagine my relief when I woke up that morning to see clear blue skies and the sun!

Woohoo, we're married! If you're wondering why there is no one else there it's because the wedding didn't actually take place at this particular church.

Thanks to the awesome family that trusted me to take their wedding formals! I still can't see myself jumping into weddings any time in the near future... but never say never! I think we had a great time and I am so glad that I was given this opportunity!

It's Spring!! Well Summer technically.

Finally a bit of greenery out there! It's amazing how wonderful a bit of nice weather can make a person feel. Of course this session was taken in a brief interlude of very windy weather... which was better than 15 minutes earlier when it was raining.. and then the days of rain that came after it.

Wonderful family, tolerable weather, what more can I ask for?

Thanks for the fun! I am glad we managed to get this session in. It's always amazing to me to see how fast these kids grow. I swear that it wasn't that long ago that I was practicing newborn photos on that little guy!
